The Mentoring Program

Mentoring is a program in which professionally experienced alumni (=mentors) support current students and graduates of the Department of Economics (=mentees) in their career planning.

The program offers one-to-one mentoring on a voluntary basis. The mentors and mentees are free to decide how often and in which way (by phone, via Zoom, ...) they want to do mentoring. A duration of approximately one year is targeted; however, mentoring can be continued informally after this period.

The mentoring support can, for example, take the form of:

  • Exchange of personal experiences
  • Advice on application letters or job interviews
  • Arranging personal contacts and access to professional structures, sources of information and networks
